Hello all and Happy Easter Sunday to all of you! Hope you've had a nice day so far. Today, I'm posting a card I created for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #49. I thought the color scheme was a good challenge, since it's a color palette that I haven't used so far in my card making. I wanted to do something bold and use some new die cuts I've gotten (you can never have enough, right?!). Here's the card I created.
I had a lot of fun using all kinds of tools for this card! I even pulled out my crimping tool for the leaves! I embossed the rockabilly paper with the texturz plates, then sanded it to distress the paper and reveal the white embossing. Here's the recipe:
*Flower Layers Originals dies for the Big Shot, Matchbox Bigz XL die
*Flourish Stampin'Up Texturz Embossing Plate
*Raspberry Tart DSP, Rockabilly Specialty paper, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point cardstock and Basic Black Textured cardstock
*Hugs and Wishes stamp set
*Pacific Point Classic Ink Pad
*Scallop border punch, word window punch, scallop oval punch
*Double stitched rose red grosgrain ribbon, jumbo brad, gel pen, sanding block, crimper
Hope you like it! Thanks for coming by to visit ;)

This is REALLY awesome! Love all of the details & layers & texture here. Super great interpretation of the challenge.
Very pretty, Rose! Love the texture!
beautiful!! I love the background paper!
What a fun card! I ran away from this color challenge, but you did a great job!
Great card! Very dramatic color combo - the way you used it especially. Everything about it is perfect. I really like how you added the touch of white to help break up all the gray. TFS!
