So grateful for awards!

Hi all!  Hope you're enjoying your weekend.  Today's post is sooo long overdue.  I am really so grateful to Jinny, Patty B., Patti C., Gilda, Rebecca, Mimi, Monika, Melissa, and Margaret for giving me the Stylish Blogger Award...and my apologies for taking so long to post!  I want to thank Olga, too for the Sweet Blogger Award months ago...very sweet of you!!

It's not that I didn't want to post...I am truly soo thrilled to have gotten this recognition!!  It's that I have been so strapped for time to create and post that this would get pushed back on the list for me.  So, I hope you guys forgive me. :) With the Stylish Blogger award, I'm also supposed to share 8 things about me and then pick 8 fabbie blogger to send this to...it's such a tough decision as I really LOVE sooo many blogs out there.  So without further adieu...

8 things about me:
1.  My astrological sign is a Cancer.
2.  I am 5'1" tall {or short, as is the case}
3.  I love watching Top Chef.
4.  I work full time at a large internet company doing Marketing.
5.  I started stamping in 2000 and have been hooked ever since!
6.  My favorite vacation spot of all time is Kauai {feels like a 2nd home!}.
7.  My favorite ice cream is Jamoca Almond Fudge {or a variation thereof}.
8.  I love to shop for shoes and purses :)

So Thankful!

Since it's Thanksgiving week, I thought I'd share a few things I'm thankful for. Get ready, this is a long post...

Let's start off with this - You know what I love about blogging? It's all the great friends you meet in the blogosphere. From the friends that I've come to know who've left me fun and sweet comments as well as the friends I've discovered through my own blurfing, commenting, and blog following.

This post of mine is quite tardy on a few fronts - first, I want to say I am so grateful for getting 2 awards from my blogging friends Jane and Winter! I'm so glad I've met them online. They both are so sweet, super creative and have awesome blogs! Jane is a friend from Zagreb, Croatia, who's given me a Smile Award! This award is for people that make you smile - and I totally appreciate it {the funny thing is, SHE totally makes me smile!}. :)

For this award, I'm supposed to tell you 5 things about me and also nominate 5 people that make me smile.

Here are my 5 things about me.

1. I was born in the Philippines and moved to the US when I was 4 years old, and have lived in Southern California ever since.
2. I was a psychobiology major at UCLA, but I am not doing anything related to the field (however, the current company I work for is in Healthcare, so while it's a little bit of a stretch, you could say it's kind of related).
3. My new job is 6 miles away from my parent's house where I grew up. On the flip side, it's also 55 miles away from where I live now.
4. I've run 3 marathons so far and hope to run another one next year. I really need to start training for it!
5. My favorite author is Jane Austen, and my all time favorite book is Pride and Prejudice. I've read many other books I've enjoyed since then, but I always seem to go back to that book.
