Happy Thanksgiving with a couple #tbt's

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, dear blog friends!

As I'm sure many of you are in the midst of turkey day prep and/or festivities, I'll keep this short and sweet with a couple of flashbacks from Turkey Day's past...

Hard to believe that little man's first Thanksgiving was 3 years ago already!

Here's a place setting from a few years back...

And our table.

I'm now still in the midst of our turkey day prep myself, so I'll say bye for now and best wishes to you all for a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

{Easy as pie!} - Unboxing the October My Paper Pumpkin Kit

Hi there blog friends! How are you all?  I  hope you had a fabulous Halloween!  I know we had a great time here - stay tuned for a Halloween recap soon.  For today's post,  I'm excited to share the My Paper Pumpkin October kit!  I had a few hours this afternoon where I got the chance to craft, so I had some quality "me" time and got some much needed crafting therapy on.  How do you like that sneak peek?  Don't those pom poms look so fun?  Well, here's what the package looks like...

Seriously.  As soon as I opened up the box, I was really excited to put this project together.  These My Paper Pumpkin kits make crafting so easy! Here's a closer look at all the supplies you get to make this adorable Thanksgiving pie...

Now for a look at the big picture below...

You know what was the best part of this project? Making the POM POMS!  Not only are they fun to make (I mean, it makes me feel so crafty!), they really make the pie look that much more scrumptious!

Here's a perfect slice, just for you!  Now, if you love this project, I definitely encourage you to sign up for a My Paper Pumpkin subscription!  You'll get a new craft project each month delivered to your door.  Plus, you can check out the My Paper Pumpkin Pinterest boards to get your creative juices flowing and get inspired with more projects you can create from each month's kit. :)

For those of you that are already My Paper Pumpkin subscribers, you also have the opportunity to get extra kits from past projects while supplies last.  I love this option because there will be months where you just fall in love with the project and need or want to make more, so you can order more.  The caveat here is that it is while supplies last.  So it's definitely something you want to take advantage of right away.  I'm certainly going to order another October project because I think this will be a great little treat for my co-workers!

Hope you liked this project. Thanks so much for popping by today! I know I've been posting sporadically, so I do appreciate your visit :)

Ciao for now!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello there, blog friends.  Are you all prepping for your Thanksgiving day festivities?  I know I still have a lot to do!  I did manage to create a Thanksgiving card for you all.  :)

As you can see, I'm enjoying my Circle Thinlets die!

This time, I added a fold out panel so that you can write out a bit more on the inside:

Flip open the card, and you'll see the Happy Thanksgiving greeting inside….isn't that fun?
Hope you like it!

Here's the recipe for the card:

Happy Thanksgiving card:
*Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
*Inks: Early Espresso
*Accessories: In Color DSP - Summer Starfruit, Circle Thinlits die, Scallop punch, Label bracket punch, dimensionals, Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain ribbon
*Stamps: Tags 4 You, Thanksgiving stamp {retired!}
Hope you and your families have a very Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful to you all for coming by to visit my corner of the world.  Blessings to you.

Enjoy your day!

Digital Scrapbook day and {free} digital downloads!

Hi there bloggie peeps!  I am finally over my cold and feeling much better.  Hard to believe we're already into November though...yikes!! I need to get started on my Christmas cards!!  Have you guys started?  Well, I guess that's really a topic for a separate post altogether.  Today, I've got some fun news to share!  Since tomorrow is Digital Scrapbooking Day,Stampin'Up! is making a big to-do about it by giving away some free digital downloads starting today, November 4th through November 7th!  Isn't that cool?  I have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the images and layouts in this free offering.  Head on over to MyDigitalStudio.net to check them out and download.  They are free for ANYONE and EVERYONE!! You don't need to have My Digital Studio to use the downloads..  You can use them with any of your digital applications {so AWESOME!}.  Here's the link to all the deets.  It's definitely worth the while to take a peek!

Just to share a sneak...Here's a digital card I created using one of the free layouts. It was originally a "Home For The Holidays" layout, but I changed it up a tad to be more harvest/Thanksgiving-y to match the photos I wanted to use.  I've used a few of the pics in other layouts that you may recognize, but some are new, too.  The sentiment I used is one of the freebies from the stamp brush set - I love the font!:
What do you think?  I really am enjoying the digital scrapbooking.  My little boo boo has inspired me to capture and remember all those precious every day moments in life.  It's truly amazing.  Pictures are such dear snapshots of life unfolding before your very eyes.  I think becoming a mom has given me a whole new perspective.  It has reaquainted me with the innocence and sweetness of youth, which I am greeted with everyday seeing my sunshine's smile.  Now, I see the pull of scrapbooking.  Taking pictures and capturing the emotions of the moment is addicting!  Ahh, but as usual - my enemy is time and trying to find enough of it to enjoy life AND chronicle it, too.  There's the rub.  I think you'll probably see more of the digital scrapbooking on the bloggie blog, woven in with posts of my cards and papercrafting.  Afterall, this is Rose's World, and it's continually evolving and starting to "revolve" around the little guy.  Stay tuned.

That said, I've got some stamping, crafting, and some "me" time ahead of me this weekend!  I'm going to Sandy Hancock's Demonstrator meeting tomorrow, and I'm excited about it.  I have a feeling I'll have lots crafty inspirations to post about in the coming weeks!

Well, my friends, that's it from me for now.  Hope you guys have a great weekend!  I'll catch up with you guys in a bit!

Hi blog friends!  I'm excited to share the Bonus Sketch Design I created for 2S4Y this week.  How fun - it's my first time designing a card for a challenge blog, so I'll be really looking forward to seeing all the creative interpretations of this sketch!  Here it is:
So, what do you think?  I would ESPECIALLY love for you to play along this week at 2S4Y to see what you come up with!  Our sponsor for the week is Clear & Simple Stamps, and for my card, I used the beautiful Harvest stamp set.  Here's a look at my card:
Love the autumn images..just perfect for Thanksgiving!  I used the Autumn Spice DSP and dressed up the focal stamp with a frame of the Early Espresso waffle paper.  Here's a closer look:
I love the striped grosgrain ribbon - just a smidge of a bow to accent the image.  How do you like it?  I hope it inspires you to play along!  This week, there's 2 bonus sketches - mine and Regina's - along with Kazan's awesome sketch of the week.  Make sure to pop on by at 2S4Y!  You can check out the DT blogs here:
