Kristina Werner's Color Challenge 50
Good Morning all! This weekend has been such a fun one so far - yesterday was the WooHoo Demonstrator stamping event which was soo much fun and so inspirational. I'll be sharing more on that in a later post either today or tomorrow. For now, I wanted to share the card I made for Kristina Werner's Color Challenge - it's her 50th already! While I've only been participating in the last handful, I do enjoy going to her site to get color combo ideas and fun and fresh designs. Here's the card I made. The colors for this week's challenge match up so nicely with Stampin'Up!'s Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper, that I had to break open my new pack and try to come up with a design! The paper designs in the pack remind me so much of Hawaii (not so much the flamingos, which are more a Miami thing, I think) so I went with a "tropical island" feel. Notice the fun little swirlies? That's from the Sizzix Swirls Scribbles sizzlit, which is just so cute. I used the die cut image and also used the negative to stencil in a few swirls here and there.
