Freebie Friday 18 - Purse Madness!

Hi all - TGIF! I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been on quite a purse kick this past week! Not just with the purse card holder I posted last night, but I've also made purses in different sizes. Today's giveaway will be a purse gift card holder! Wanna see? What do you think? This purse measures 3" x 6" and fits a gift card perfectly. I used the Pink Flamingo DSP and love that the color combo has that summery feel to it. Here's a sample picture of the inside (I say "sample" because this is a photo of the inside of another purse). As a matter of fact, I made a bunch of these purses for a co-worker of mine who requested these to give out to the Moms for his golf club's Mother's Day gift card presents. Isn't that fun? Here's a quick look at more of the purses I made...

Back to Freebie Friday...now are you ready to play? To play for this week's Freebie Friday, please leave me a comment on this post with your email address or blog url (basically, enough information so I can contact you) by Midnight Saturday, May 9th. You can leave me a comment on anything or answer the following question: What is your favorite restaurant? Since I am very fortunate to have a husband that loves to cook (and is a great one at that!), we haven't gone out to eat as often as we did back in our early dating years. But if I were to name a restaurant right now, I would say Lucques Restaurant in Los Angeles. I still remember the pork tenderloin I had there last and it was just DELICIOUS! Can't wait to hear about your favorite restaurants!

Oh - by the way, since I had not heard back from last week's Freebie Friday winner (Melissa in WI), I will be announcing 2 winners on Monday - one for this week's and one for last week's...that is, unless I hear from Melissa before Monday. So, please leave me at least an email address or email me privately at rosediehlstamps@yahoo.com if you don't want to leave it in your comment. I do want you guys to win the freebies, but I need a sure-fire way of getting in touch with you so I can mail you your goodie!

Have a great Friday!

Hi Rose! Your purses are adorable! Thanks for the chance to win. My favorite restaurant in Madison, WI is at the Edgewater Hotel. It's called the Admiralty Room and my husband and I go there for our anniversary in August. It overlooks one of the lakes so you can watch the boats go by and then watch the sun go down. It's very romantic! Thanks again! Karen D. (kedavidson@tds.net)

First off love the little gift card purses. will you be posting measurements? Next I don't have a favorite restaurant but I do have a favorite type of restaurant. I love it when you find one of those non chain, mom and pop restaurants that from the outside doesn't look like much but once you are in and eating the food is to die for.

Hi Rose,

It looks like you have a purse boutique starting up! :) My favorite restaurant is Crab Cooker in Newport Beach. (There's also one in Tustin) My hubby and I went there while we dated and even went there on our wedding night. Now we go there with the kids and the workers always know who we are. Shrimp on a skewer is yummy there.

Hi Rose-

My favorite restaurant would have to be the Olive Garden. I'm crazy about italian food. I was spoiled by grandma's cooking and thought I'd never find the satisfaction with Italian food again when she passed away, but the Olive Garden is pretty close:)

These purses are adorable. I love the paper you chose and the coruroy buttons are so cute!

What a good idea for a gift card holder. If I am giving a gift card, I usually try to put in a different shaped box or something so it is not so noticeable of what it is! What a fun idea! I am not sure what my favorite restaurant is...it depends on what mood I am in!

Hi Rose,

The purses are darling! Will you be posting a tutorial on how to make them?

One of my favorite restaurants is the Spaghetti Factory. Unfortunately, the closest one to my is in Seattle, but we usually OD on fresh seafood when we visit the city and pass on spaghetti. I have a very favorite restaurant here in Sandpoint - Arlo's, which is Italian. If anyone ever visits Sandpoint I highly recommend it!

I do love the purses! What do you plan to do at the June workshop? A friend asked if you are having workshops, so maybe I can bring another friend, or the same one.

Your purses are so awesome! Thank you for posting the measurements and information on them. My favorite restaurants are Minervas (great pasta and rice) or Lunkers (great seafood).
Do you ever sell any of your craft items?

your purses are just so cute!!

I have 2 favorites: 1 is Sweet Tomatoes, it's a chain but not sure if it's everywhere, it's a healthy buffet restaurant.
2 is a local pizza shop that has to die for onion rings and Pizza of course!!

I LOVE your purses this week. I can tell you were really inspired. I really like the Urban one with the two pockets, great job! My favorite restaurant is Kabuki Sushi in Reseda, not to be confused with the chain. This is a Mom & Pop place and they have the best Sushi in my book. Thanks for the chance to win! I LOVE these purses! I don't know what my favorite restaurant is. Depends what I am in the mood for. I love Olive Garden (going there for lunch today!), but I also love the State Room in East Lansing, MI when I want some awesome King crab legs. They slice them crosswise so there is no messy cracking, and they are grilled, so very flavorful.
