Freebie Friday Joy!

Hi guys! Happy Friday to you! Did you notice I changed up my blog look today? I know there's still a day left before Halloween, but I was getting antsy for something new....maybe because I'm getting ready for something new come Monday {with the new job and all}. I'll have a festive Halloween post tomorrow though, so don't you worry :)

Today, I'm enjoying a little bit of R&R, and hence I'm filled with JOY! Which, coincidently inspired my Freebie Friday giveaway this week. Here's a slightly bigger look at the Joy Banner giveaway. You can click on the picture to check out a bigger view. It's so fun and so easy to make, especially with the handy dandy Big Shot. I used the Sizzix Clear Scallop Square Bigz die and the Serif Alphabet Bigz Die, with a touch of Christmas Cocoa DSP, Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon, and some rope. Viola! Hope you like it!

So all you have to do to play is leave me a comment on this post with either your blog URL or email address so I can contact you. You have until Sunday, November 1st at Midnight Pacific Time. By the way, isn't that cool we gain an hour this weekend? Yay! The bummer is that it gets darker so much earlier now. Oh well, part of the change of season. Anyway, back to the comments for the post - you can comment on anything OR you can tell me about what you have planned for this weekend. Ours, believe it or not is pretty low key. We have about 5-10 trick or treaters come to our house for Halloween. A big part of that is because we live on a hill and there's only houses on one side of the street, so it's not the most bang for your buck street to trick or treat. Most of the kids in the neighborhood go a couple blocks away to the flat street, where I've heard there are quite a few trick or treaters. But, we still buy candy anyway for the few kids that do come by. Can't wait to hear about your weekend festivities. Have a great one!

Love the JOY banner! No big plans for the weekend; celebrate a friends birthday today and hang at home eating the chocolate that is left over when trick or treating is done. Thanks for the chance to win.

Hi Rose, Cute banner. Hope you take a few minutes and empty your head before you start your new job. First days are always hard, getting to know new people, new responsibilities, etc but I know you will do a great job.

I love the banner. I need to start making more. This weekend I'm going to a Halloween party at a friend's house with my kids. Should be a lot of fun. I also need to make a gift card holder for a gift for my sister.

Rose,
Love, love, love the banner!
This weekend we are going to Marshall Minnesota (where I am originally from) and my son will be participating in a Tae Kwon Do tournament. So exciting! Then we will come back to do some trick or treating here. After that, nothin' but candy! ~:-)
Thank you for the chance to win the beautiful banner!

What a great banner, fingers crossed on this one!
Our plans include one last soccer game in the morning and trick-or-treating that evening. My husband takes the girls around the neighborhood, while I stay at home and hand out candy.

Hi Rose! What a sweet banner.
We're taking Greta to the carnival and church for a few hours, and then over to my friend/college roomie's for her annual birthday/Halloween party. Greta will be an itsy bitsy spider and I will be a web!

Good luck on Monday! :)

Thanks for the great addition. Did you use chipboard for the scalloped squares or CS?
We look forward to Halloween with all our family and pass out candy to about 300 kids. They all have fun and so do we. Glad the city ends trick-or-treating at 8PM or we might have closer to 400.

Christmas banner and MDS banner are just awesome!

We're having some family over for dinner & trick-or-treating tomorrow, so that'll be fun.

Let me know how the new job goes!

Hi Rosemarie, Happy Hallowe'en to you! We get around 100 kids to our house each year. This was the first year I waited to buy the candy til the last minute. When I buy it early- I eat it and then have to buy more. This year... no temptation.
I love your banner. I have been wanting to make one with the Ho Ho Ho from the holiday mini. This has inspired me. Hope you have a great Hallowe'en!

Rose,
The blog looks great ... your JOY is felt through the cyber-world! I'm so glad it's the weekend - hoping to get some homework caught up, a few craft projects done and join the girls for a stamp a stack! Of course that means you have to boot me off your blog ... I tend to hang around for a while LOL

What a great banner. Whom ever wins will have much "JOY". Good luck starting on your new job Monday. As for tonight, no kids come by our place. My kids go out with their friends and don't want mom hanging around. I usually console myself with a movie and a glass of wine :)
