Birthday fun with 2S4Y

Hi all!  Hope you had a great weekend!  I had a lot of fun making this card!  Maybe because I'll probably be making a lot of these milestone cards for a handful of my friends this year ;) heehee.  These fun digi images are from the Birthday Fun set from The Cutting Cafe, who's this week's 2S4Y sponsor.  Wanna see the sketch for this week?  Here it is:
At first, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the semi-circle, but it was actually fun playing with the shape!  I got to use my circle cutter and scallop circle die.  I love the look of banners on cards, so I had to incorporate one on this card! I used glue dots to string them along my piece of embroidery floss, then secured the floss with a brad. Aren't those polka dot pennants cute? They are made out of the party hats digi stamp in the set!  The cool thing with the digi stamps is that you can resize them in any size, and then I also figured out how you can change the colors of the lines and the fill - sounds basic, I know, but it wasn't intuitive for me!  Hope you like it!  Here's another view of the card:
Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week!
