Melon Mambo Christmas

Hey there! Another late night post for me. I have so many projects I want to do, and challenges I want to play, but there's just not enough time in the day to do it all! Bummer. After debating on what to make tonight, I ended up making a Christmas card. I was particularly inspired to play with the Patterned Pines Hostess Set from the Mini catalog. I have been drawn to this set ever since I saw it in the Holiday Mini, so I just had to earn it! As far as inspiration goes, I've seen a lot of cards using non-traditional Christmas colors that have peaked my interest, so I thought I'd try it out and do a Melon Mambo Christmas. It's a very soft and girly look for the holiday season, I think. Paired with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, the Sherbet buttons, and Blush Blossom cardstock {that's pretty much the recipe for you!), I think I'm pretty happy with this combo! You can decide for yourself - here's a view of the full card: Thoughts? I like the simple, craftsy look of this card, personally. Maybe it's just a style that's caught my eye lately. I am really digging this Patterned Pines hostess set, so I'm looking forward to playing with it a little more and seeing what other color schemes I can come up with. Here's a look at this cute Level 1 Hostess set that you, too, can earn by having a workshop or placing an order for $150 or more. And, here's the card recipe:
{Melon Mambo Christmas}
*Stamp Set: Patterned Pines Hostess Set, All Holidays
*Cardstock: Blush Blossom, Whisper White
*Ink: Melon Mambo Classic Ink Pad
*Accessories: Petals-a-plenty embossing folder, Sherbet Buttons, Hemp Twine, Whisper White Taffeta ribbon
If you're wondering about the pattern for the snowy slope, I actually drew it in freehand on the reverse side and then cut it out.

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day :)

ETA: In my blurfing on Thurs morning, I thought this card would fit the PALS Paper Arts challenge 8: KISS - Keep It Simple Sweetie, so I got to create a card and submit it to a challenge afterall - yippee! (I know, I'm a challenge junkie!)
