{Tech Tip Tuesday}: #4 - Heart flowers!

Hi all!  How are you?  I can't believe we're already into February!  With Valentine's Day around the corner, I thought I'd incorporate some hearts in this week's {Tech Tip Tuesday}.  These fun heart flowers are super simple yet have such a pretty way of fancying up a card! It's not a new technique, but it's definitely a goody to revisit.  Ready to check it out?
1.  Punch or die cut 5 hearts. For this card project, I used the smallest heart from Hearts Collection framelits for the big flower and also used the Small Heart punch for the 2 small flowers.
2.  Fold the hearts in half. Doesn't get much easier than that!
3.  Once you have the hearts folded, position them into a five petal flower onto your card and adhere one side of the heart with a glue dot.  Repeat the steps as necessary until you have all the flowers you want on your card.
4.  I finished off my card by adding the sweet sentiment "you make me Happy" from the Happy Watercolor stamp set in the Occasions catalog.

Here's a bigger look of the full card for you:
Don't you love the card base?  It looks like I watercolored those pretty chevrons, doesn't it?  Well, it's actually one of the designs from the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Card set.  Isn't that so pretty?  I love all the designs in this card set as well as the texture of the paper.  It's a handy stash to have at the ready - all you need to do is embellish the front of the card, or even just stamp a sentiment and you're done! Here's the recipe for this card.
{Happy heart flowers}

Cardstock: Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Polka Dot Parade DSP

Thanks for coming by today.  Now, I encourage you to give this fun technique a try.  It's so easy peasy and looks so cute on a card!  Would love to hear what you think about this technique.

Hope you have a fab Tuesday! Bye for now :)
