New Photopolymer stamps!

Hi there blog friends!  Happy Friday!  How are you all? Hope you're doing well.  I know I've been quiet for a little while and I can't believe it's already almost mid-March!  I did want to pop in here real quick to share Stampin'Up!'s new Photopolymer stamps.  It's an awesome clear stamp option for those of you that like to see EXACTLY where you're stamping!  I am very excited that Stampin'Up! is offering this new stamp option.  I'd encourage you guys to try and give me some feedback of what you think.  I'm hoping to post some samples by next week, when I get my hands on my own set! :)

So now, I wanted to leave you with a fun little tidbit from my day.  On the start of my yucky commute  home from work, I got the best serendipitous surprise on the 405 Fwy.  Can you guess what it was?  No, it's not even traffic related!  I actually got to see a Double Rainbow!  Let me just say that it's not very common over here.  For one, it doesn't rain that often, so when it does, it's rare that you see a rainbow, let alone 2!  So, I'm taking this little sighting of mine as a sign for good things to come :)  Here's a snapshot I took.  I wasn't "technically" driving at the time since my car was stopped in traffic.  Heehee.

Dress Up Birthday!

Hello all!  Happy President's Day!  I've got a fun card share today using the Dress Up framelit dies.  It's probably my current favorite die right now.  So much fun to play with and design some fun outfits!  For this particular card, I also used the lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  I was inspired by dresses that I've been seeing in the fashion mags where lace is all the rage!  So, I thought I'd design my own. The ribbon belt is the seam binding ribbon in Rose Red.  It's such a great light texture and has that soft cascading look I was trying to go for.  Here's another view of the card.
To add some interest on my card border, I used the Needlepoint Border embossing folders.  The trick to do both sides of my card is that I actually started with a gray card front sized at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2."  After embossing the edges, I used the corner rounder punch on the bottom and then glued the front of the card to a Whisper White card base.  Viola!  I then layered the rest of the card with the Yellow Chevron print from the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP, then added my dress onto the dress form, and popped it up on the card front using dimensionals.  What do you think?  Hope you like it!

Bagful of kisses!

Happy Valentine's Day, dear blog friends! Hope you guys have a sweet one. I had to scurry to get some Valentine's treats together and here's what I came up with. I'm all a out simple and quick these days. So, I used the cute scallop edged mini brown bags from Christmas, filled it with some kisses, then topped it with a doily and heart {from the more Amore specialty designer series paper}.

Hope you like it! Have a good one!

Do you know the way to San Jose?

Greetings, all! I wanted to pop in real quick to say hello. It's been a little quiet here on the blog, mostly because it's been a bit busy for me behind the scenes with my day job and of course, family stuff! As we speak I am in transit up the California coastline, headed to San Jose for the day for work. Below is a quick snap I took from the air!

So, I had the best intentions to get Valentines out and cards posted, but it's looking like I will need to send some virtual ones tomorrow. I have all the supplies, so maybe in my elvin craft room tonight, I'll be able to make a few. You'll have to check back tomorrow to see how I do! How about you guys? Did you make some fun Valentine craft ideas. Would love to hear!

I will chat with you guys soon. Have a great day!

Fun playing {Dress Up!}

Hi all!  I've got a fun card share for you today.  I got to play with my new Dress Up framelits from the Spring Catalog and I have to say I love them!  The dress form alone is an awesome image, but ohh there are so many possibilities with the dresses!  For this particular card, I went with a pattern from the Sycamore Street DSP, which is one of the free products you can earn during Sale-a-bration!  Here's another look at the card:
What about that Honeycomb embossing folder - isn't that such a cool textured background?  I just love the look and feel of it! It really does add a nice flair to the card, don't you think? What I love about this card is that it really was so simple to put together, yet has such a fancy impact! This is actually a belated birthday card I made for a friend of mine...hope she likes it! Here's the card recipe for you.

Sale-a-Bration is HERE!

I love this time of year at Stampin'Up!  It's Sale-a-Bration (SAB), and that means you can earn some free goodies when you order $50 or more in Stampin'Up! products.  Now, to entice you to see what you can earn, I created this fun little card using the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Seriously - aren't these pants just soo soo cute?!  I just love them.  Here's a look at the full card:
I used the adorable Cloudy Day embossing folder from the Spring Catalog and the Needlepoint Border embossing folder for the trim on the Whisper White cardstock. {can you tell I'm a big fan of that?}  As for the Happy Birthday stamp I used, it's called Blue Ribbon, from the big catty.  Are you wondering what punch I used to layer the round stamp?  Well, it's actually none other than the Scallop Circle punch!  I just notched out a "v" in each scallop to get that look.  Pretty nifty, eh?  Well, I hope you like the card and I hope I've piqued your interest on Sale-a-bration!  You can browse through the brochure here or click on the pic below.

Last but not least, here's the card recipe:

Happy Birthday, Smarty Pants!
*Stamp Set: Patterned Occasions (SAB), Blue Ribbon
*Cardstock: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Pool Party Core'dinations, Sycamore Street DSP (SAB)
*Inks: Pacific Point, Primrose Petal, Summer Starfruit
*Accessories: Needlepoint Border and Cloudy Day embossing folders, Primrose Petal Stitched Satin Ribbon, Pool Party Twine, Scallop Circle punch, 1" Square punch (to cut the ribbon tails on my ribbon!)

Hope you all have a fantastic day!  Thanks for popping by!
