Ok - so I discovered a couple of new challenges that looked fun and interesting to me: 1) the Polka Dot Paradise Color challenge at the newly established
Embellish Magazine founded by Ashley Cannon Newell {who is amazingly creative, by the way!}, and 2)
Moxie Fab World's household challenge {another amazing blog you must visit!} - so I thought I would give them both a whirl. The colors in the Polka Dot Paradise CC looked fallish and fun, and are not in my typical color palette repertoire, so it was quite a challenge for me. My household item I went with is a couch, so I hope that works {it is an item, and it is in the house!}. Here's a look at the color scheme before I show you my full card. The fun thing is that you need to incorporate a polka dot pattern (hence the challenge name)!
The colors I ended up going with are
Stampin'Up!'s Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Bravo Burgundy. Here's my card:
Isn't that couch fun? It's from PTI's On My Couch stamp set, and I "upholstered" it with SU's Razzleberry Lemonade. The Very Vanilla piece and the Bravo Burgundy strip are both embossed with SU's Texturz plates by Sizzix. Here's the recipe for ya:
