Happy Monday!

Hello there blog peeps!  Hope you're having a great Monday so far.  I had quite the whirlwind birthday weekend and I wish I had an extra day to recover!  All in all, it was a fabulous time :)  I'll have to share more with you when I get all my pictures in order, so stay tuned for that probably later this week.  For today, I've got this week's 2S4Y sketch card for you!  Here's what Laura drew up for the week:

The squares were a perfect compliment for the stamps from this week's sponsor, Mint Motif.  How do you like the card I made?  I used Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Currry as my palette colors - it's such a summery combination!  This was a clean and simple, super easy card to create.  Hope you like it.  Now, why don't you go over and get your creative juices flowing and play along with the sketch!

Have fun! Catch up with you guys later!

more {CUPCAKES!}

Hey there!  I've got more cupcakes for you today.  This time, I've got a rainbow variety, courtesy of the handy dandy MDS!  I printed out a sheet of cupcakes on Whisper White cardstock in a rainbow of colors - these are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, and Certainly Celery, which happened to match the Island Oasis DSP, too!  I say "happened to match" because I hadn't previously planned to pair it with the DSP, I just did a bunch of colors so that I could make a variety of cards! Wanna see the full card:  Here you go:

I used the new Cherry Cobbler cardstock as the base, and I really love its rich and luscious red color!  It's a little deeper than the Real Red, but it compliments it nicely.  For my label, I used the other flower punch in the Itty Bitty Punch set.  These really are so cute and add a nice touch to your card project.  I sponged the edges of my label with Creamy Caramel to soften it up a bit and give it a little aged look.  If you've noticed, I've been doing a lot of sponging with Creamy Caramel on my projects lately, to soften the stark white and give the projects some depth.  For the strips behind my "Happy Birthday" label, I used the excess strips from the Eyelet Border punch scraps, so  there was minimal waste of supplies in making this card! Hope you like the card share!  here's the recipe for you.

pink and brown birthday cupcake

Hello there blog friends!  Aren't you impressed that I've blogged every day so far this week?!  I tell you, it's been tough for me to get into a regular groove of crafting and blogging with a busy day job that's been keeping me occupied.  So, I thank you guys for still checking in with me! Yay!  It feels good to have caught up a little bit with life in general, that's for sure.  I'm going to enjoy it while I can.  Today's card share continues with the birthday card theme and the hybrid MDS/stamping technique.  As you can see, it's a simple and clean 2-tone card with a couple of button accents.  This is a great birthday card to have on hand - and with MDS, you can print out any cupcake colors to match your SU! cardstock.  Super easy peasy!  This pink is Pink Pirouette, which is a very soft and baby girlish pink. I added chunky glitter on my cupcake to give it that sugar-y goodness look!  Doesn't it look delectable?  I am also loving the little flower from the itty bitty punches set - it is just too cute.
Hope you like it!  Here's the recipe for you:
{Pink and Brown Birthday}
