Travelingmama Challenge

Good Morning, all! It feels so good to have today off and sleep in a little! So, I got up this morning and as I was having my coffee and doing some blurfing, I came across Traveling Mama's Traveler's Inspiration Challenge. I really enjoy visiting her blog and I also love traveling, so I thought I would participate (so I got a wee bit side tracked on my Freebie Friday post, which is coming up next!). Her challenge involves creating something based on a photo from her travels - today's happens to be the picture below.How fun are those candy colored slippers! I was inspired by the color scheme and textures and this is what I came up with:
I really love this color scheme - it's so summery and yummy! I sure do miss Baja Breeze already - that color is so pretty! So, for the background texture, I used a Sizzix textured plate that I just got last week for the awesome price of $3.99 off of the Sizzix site. It was on clearance and it was a pack of 3 plates/6 patterns that was just too cute to pass up! I also used the fun Modern Label punch from the new Stampin'Up! catalog, and the coordinating Mover's and Shaper's die to mat it perfectly.
