a punchy little Christmas Tree

Hi bloggie peeps!  I'm back with a quick little post today.  First let me preface by saying that sometimes, I like to challenge myself to try and use punches for a different purpose then it's intended image.  So with that in mind, enter my card project for today.  I was determined to make a Christmas tree out of the snowflake punch, and after several attempts, what you see before you is what I finally came up with!  So...dare I ask?  What do you think of my punchy little Christmas tree?  I had to look at it for a while before it grew on me.  Maybe it's the Basic Pearl embellies that fancied it up enough for me.  I like the sort of rustic appeal it has.  Would love to hear what you think!

I used 2 punched snowflakes to create the tree.  I cut both of them in half, then on one of the halves, I cut one of the "sprigs" off, so that it became 2 pieces of 1 sprig and 2 sprigs.  This is what I used for my top 2 layers of my tree.  For the stump, I just used a scrap piece and cut one end at a diagonal.  Super simple!
