What type of paper crafter are you?

Hi all! I just got back from the Stampin'Up! On Stage event in Orlando this past weekend and it has left me inspired and has seriously renewed my passion to craft!

So, I would love to hear from you...what type of crafter do you consider yourself? Are you a beginner that's curious and intrigued about stamping but don't know where to start? Or, are you a casual crafter that likes to create things with a purpose, like cards for birthdays, holidays or occasions? Or, would you say you're the ultimate crafting enthusiast that loves using all the gadgets, hoarding accessories, stamps or paper because they are too cute to pass up, and you just have the love for crafting and making things because they make you happy?

Personally, I have to admit, I fall into the last category.  But you know what? The cool thing is, that whichever type of crafter you relate to, something magical happens when you start creating. No matter what level you are, there is that sense of pride and accomplishment that makes you feel good, right? It's that "Look what I made!" feeling, which keeps us going and creating more.

Well my dear friends, for today's post I'm sharing 3 cards that I was inspired to make using the Hand Delivered hostess set. Isn't it so cute? I love this girl and the balloons! Here's a closer look at these 3 cards:

Here's a simply stamped card with images colored in with Stamping Blends. Just a smidge of ribbon to dress it up a bit.

Now, here's another version of the card slightly stepped up - stamped background, a little glitter paper, and punched sentiment.

And finally, a little more stepped up. The background is embossed, and I've added a few more accessories like the metallic thread and sequins.

What do you think? If you feel inspired, I'd challenge you to carve out some time today to stamp or make something handmade. Need some supplies or just want to check out Stampin'Up!'s latest products, you can shop now at my online store (just in time for the holidays)! I have a special Host Code that you can apply to your order til Nov 30:

Host code: TCFCR342

What does the hostess code do for you? Well, if you place an order of $50 or more, you'll get a pack of dimensionals. Be sure to enter it before checkout.

You will also be entered into a raffle to win the Hand Delivered stamp set! Questions? Feel free to send me an email (link in the right column!

Bye for now!

A little sparkle with Pretty Pines and Cable Knit

Hi there, friends! Hope you had a great weekend! I'm sure many of you are in the midst of holiday prep and all that good stuff...I know I am! So much to do and so little time! I'm just popping by today with a quick share of a Christmas card I made using the Pretty Pines Thinlits and Cable Knit embossing folder. So, this embossing folder is a brand new style that's thicker than the traditional embossing folders and I do have to say I was really amazed at the 3-dimensional texture of this knit - it really does pop! You can see the intricate details and it truly does transform the paper with this knit pattern!  I love the Pretty Pines thinlits, too. The pine needles and pinecones add a nice and festive touch.  I also wanted to incorporate a touch of sparkle, and what better to do so than with some gold sequins lightly dusted on the page?! To give the card some flair, I added a few random slivers of gold foil paper and Certainly Celery card stock to pizzazz it up a little. Hope you like it!

Here's a closer look at the Pretty Pines thinlits and Cable Knit embossing folder for you:

Hope you got some Christmas inspiration on your visit today. Thanks for stopping by!

Sneak peek of Stampin'Up!'s new In Colors!

Happy Monday, blog friends! Hope you all had a great weekend.  I have a quick share of the pretty new In Colors that will be available in Stampin'Up!'s upcoming 2016-2017 catty. How yummy do these look?!  I paired these pretty butterflies with the coordinating ruched ribbon, which is even prettier in person!  I love making these mini clothespins - so easy to make and they instantly cutify whatever you clip them to!  I just used a glue dot to adhere the butterflies onto the clothespins and viola, instant cuteness!

Here's a look at the cardstock and coordinating markers:

These lovely colors are Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim.  Hope you like them! The new catalog is just a few weeks away...it will be available on June 1st!

Have a great day and thanks for popping by!

Hello there! Catching up with a little Balloon Celebration

Hi there friends! It's me - I know it's been quite a long time since my last post. Here we are in May already, and as usual, I think time just has a way of sneaking past...even when we're looking with eyes wide open! Needless to say, I have missed you all and have missed carving out my time to blog and craft. I've done a little here and there, but forgive me for not posting on the good ol' blog. For me, I've found that a quick Instagram and occassional Facebook post has been more my speed at documenting my world lately. Oh, don't get me wrong - things are great! Just frenetically busy! I won't bore you with the trials and tribulations of a working mom with a hellish commute to the office, but suffice it to say that my focus has been on family time and work. That said, I have come to the conclusion that it's more rewarding to live in the moment and relish in it when you can. Life is too short! However, I've resolved that I will blog when I can and will aim to get back on a more regular cadence to check in with you all and give you guys a roundup of what's going on in Rose's World.  Some of you may be wondering if I'm still a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator, and the answer to that is YES!

Part of my renewed excitement is due to the recent Stampin'Up! OnStage event, which gave us demonstrators a sneak peek of the upcoming catalog and of course, I'm super excited and can't wait to get my hands on the super cute stamp sets and products!  You'll just have to wait a little while longer - the new catalog premiers June 1!

I am happy to share that I did have a chance to do some crafting over the weekend, and boy did it feel great! I made this cheery birthday card for a sweet little friend's first birthday over the weekend. This stamp set just made me happy making this card, not to mention the pretty girly colors, too! I love the Balloon Celebrations photopolymer stamp set.  So adorable! Thanks for popping by today. I appreciate your visits :)  Have a great one and I'll see you back sooner than later!

Christmas tags and Stampin'Up!'s Online Extravaganza!

Hello all!  How are you? I know it's been ages since my last post, so thanks for bearing with me and visiting my blog. Life has been busy, but all is good. I will catch up with you guys with some pics and highlights from the last few months soon. I do have a couple of Christmas tags to share today. I was really excited to be in my craft room, although I admit I felt a little out of practice. After some trial and error, these fun tags are what I came up with while I was playing with these fun Delicate Ornament Thinlit dies. Here are a couple more pics for you:

Aren't these ornaments so pretty? I love how they look using the red and gold foil sheets - they look like you can hang them right on your tree! For the tag base, I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch and then just dressed up the tags with Cherry Cobbler twine, Real Red Pom Pom trim, and Gold and White 3/8" Glitter Ribbon. Hope these inspire you to get your Christmas crafting on!

But wait - there's more! Did you know that Stampin'Up!'s Online Extravaganza starts TODAY?! You can shop the sale HERE and you can check out the list of items here.

There's lots of great items on sale for gift giving as well as for your own personal crafting stash! :)  It's definitely worth checking it out!

Now, for those of you who've been wondering what I've been up to these past few months, I have been crafting here and there, but family and my day job have taken the priority. Things have been quite busy on all fronts for me, so with the time that I have, I've focused in on my life priorities, which I know you all can understand. While my presence has been limited here on the blog-o, I have been posting on Instagram and Tumblr, just because it's been easier to post and share some quick pics. I can really appreciate how precious time is these days, especially when it seems like it's such a limited commodity for me...so I share when I can.  :) Feel free to follow me there or check out the links every now and again.

I'll leave you with some pics from my recent trip to Japan - it was an amazing trip with the hubs.  These shots are from Kyoto at the Kiyomizu-dera Temple. All in all, I was inspired and awestruck by the beautiful country and wonderful people.

Well, all, thanks so much for dropping by today and checking in. My dear friend Norma at PinkBlingCrafter has challenged me to post at least once a week, so I am taking her up on that and will try to do a little more.  Catch up with you all soon!
